Income
tax:
In chapter five of our
book, we
explain the basics of taxes and how simple it can be to fill out your own
forms. We stand by that claim. (Ha, ha. Pun intended.)
Fortunately for
you, if you work in Detroit, you pay even more out of your paycheck in
taxes (city taxes). An extra 2.6% (if you live in the city)
will leave your pocket. You'll only pay an extra 1.3% if you work
in the city, but don't live there.
