What kind of files are best?
.eps or .ps files >> always good
.jpg or .tif files >> good if large files (see below)

How can I tell if the files are large enough?

We need "high resolution" images (or, lots of "pixels") in your photo or logo. Here's how to tell:

The 2048 x 3072 are the pixels.
Divide each number by 300 to get your largest printing size (i.e. 6.8" x 10.2").

If you don't see pixel numbers by your file, hold your cursor over the file (without clicking). A bubble may appear.

To use a photo for:
Your files size needs to roughly be:

the entire book cover

2550 x 1650 (8.5" x 5.5")
almost half of your cover 1140 x 1410 (3.8" x 4.7")
small stacked photos 1140 x 460 (3.8" x 1.5")

(Note: We can always make a file smaller, but we can't make it bigger. It gets fuzzy.)

Not sure?
No problem. Send us the file and we'll check it for you.
